One of its most attractive features is the Inverter cooking technology. While many microwaves deliver lower power levels by firing full force and then letting food sit while the clock winds down, Panasonic's Inverter models actually adjust power output for the full duration of cooking time. The result is 10 true power levels, more even cooking, and minimal icy or hot spots. This oven also features Inverter turbo defrost, for quicker and more consistent thawing. To complement the Inverter technology, Panasonic builds in the Genius sensor to automatically adjust cooking power and time for up to 18 one-touch food categories. You can also program cooking time yourself or cook by food weight or quantity. The control panel takes a little practice, but includes several convenient features to help you get used to it, like prompter cues, adjustable word speed, and a multilanguage menu. Panasonic also comes through with the indispensable popcorn, quick-minute, and keep-warm buttons. Other nice features include delay-start functionality, a child-safety lock, a timer, and a rotating glass turntable. --Emily Bedard
