Details: I have been looking for them for quite a while and the only brands I see make them are GE, ATT and Uniden. (All of which have bad reviews). I only need a single line (for home phone) and I need one that works with my broadband internet connection (split outlet), with caller-id. One corded/one cordless will do since I live in a small one bedroom apartment.

V-Tech vt2498 2.4GHz Corded/Cordless Phone System seems to fit the bill. Have you seen that one? We dont have them any longer but you may still be able to find it out there. Here is a link to our site which has more info http://www.etronics.com

I would go with the Panasonic DECT 6.0 phones. They are the newer technology and will not suffer interference from WiFi that may be in your apartment or your neighbors'. We have KX-TG1034S model (4 handsets), but there are different variations available - we may have actually gotten ours from etronics (response above).
