Is the Logitech Harmony 676 Universal Remote Control a decent remote?

Details: I want to buy a universal remote control that runs my TV, DVD player, VCR, tape deck, amp, (radio) tuner, and Surround-sound audio system. Is the 676 any good? There seems to be a lot of other URC's by Logitech--what good for a low price?

The Logitech Harmony line is quite good but it's not for the faint of heart. It requires a lot of patience and a good hour or so to configure on your computer. I own the Harmony 880 and I think it's a great device. The main difference for the higher end ones (outside of the color display) is that the controls are geared more towards DVRs (e.g. TiVo). Since it doesn't sound like you own one of those the 676 will be more than sufficient. If you're planning on adding a TiVo you may want to look at the 670 instead.
