I have a slight pronation and the Reebok Trinity KFS was the first shoe that allowed me to run on a treadmill comfortably. I got these at endless for $65 (and they give you $5 for overnight shipping - how awesome is that?).

The best shoe for you depends on if you have any pronation and what type of pronation. This site has some good info on determining the type of pronation you have: http://www.runnersworld.ltd.uk Once you figure that out, you can add some details to your question by clicking on the "Add Details" button. This way, the community can give you the best recommendation possible. That said, I love my Asics! But I have neutral roll and it's easy to fit me with sneakers.

I need arch support and my feet pronate. The shoe that has fit best on my feet for running is Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7. I also usually replace the insoles of my running shoes with something more substantial. Here's a website to help you decide what's better for you feet: http://brooksrunning.com
