This is another project I never had time to finish. I promised by fiancee that I could 'figure out' how to make some jewelry and I bought a few things from these guys: http://www.contenti.com The stuff looks nice but I never really got a chance to use it.

How serious are you in the hobby? In other words, are you looking for metal investing equipment and tools, need lapidary equipment, or do you just string beeds? If you string beeds, Fire Mountain, Aunties Beads, You and Me Beads, Bali Beads and a host of others have what you want. And should the big gem and bead shows come anywhere near you, go to one. If you want more serious equipment, there are also a number of good suppliers, such as National Jeweler's Supply, Rio Grande, and Finding King might be better choices. Try google-ing "metal investing materials" or "gold investment equipment" and "lapidary" as a start to finding those vendors. Problem with metal investing is that it also matches a whole different category of matches. Try adding "jewelry" to that search.
