3g smartphones
Jun 29th 2007, 16:59 - 5 Answers Category: Cell Phones & PDAs Details: moving back to the states at the end of july and want a new smartphone WITH 3G. i don't want to have to wait for fall for a phone, so my choices are fairly limited, right? recommendations? it would be a bonus if i could tether my laptop to it via usb/bluetooth, and i don't necessarily need wifi. |

There actually aren't a whole lot of choices when it comes to 3G capable phones but you're not out of luck. I would go with the BlackBerry 8830 (the BlackBerry is the ultimate smartphone, in my opinion). It's a world phone that will work pretty much in any country. In the states, you can get a 1x EV-DO plan with Verizon Wireless to meet your 3G needs. Just check the coverage map to make sure that it is offered where you are moving to. Good luck!

This phone made a splash last year since it was the first UMTS/HSDPA to be offered in the US. It's not perfect since it's a little on the heavy side and the buttons are a little small but it definitely one of the fastest devices out there.

My recommendation if I read your demands, the Nokia N95. I don“t owe the phone, but had an opportunity to test it for about an hour (was more playin around and watching all features and install some essentials for a buddy), but that was pretty impressing. Although i got the N80, the N95 brings just another look and feel - a nice portable multimedia computer for on the road ...
