Panasonic makes a nice DVD player. Just make sure you get a player that matches your TV. So, if your TV is 1080p, make sure the DVD player upconverts to 1080p, etc. The other thing to consider is to make sure the remote you use is compatible so you don't need to buy yet another universal remote.
