Details: I purchased a Nuvi from QVC. Very nice, but when I went to look at restaurants, some had been closed for two years. Our new Mall wan't even listed a nd it's been open for two years. My son's address wasn't there either and he has lived in his house for over two years. Is this typical of either system? Is there a way of downloading current information? Thank you

The StreetPilot series is their more affordable line and are a bit larger. The latest and greatest is the nuvi series and are quite small and portable. I'd probably go with a newer nuvi since the StreetPilot series is getting a bit dated.

All the newer GPS systems can be updated via USB. You just need to install the appropriate software from Garmin. Just find your model from this list http://www8.garmin.com
