If your mom has time to read, this may be the book that will at least help get her started in the right direction. I found it helpful myself.

I listened to this set of CD while commuting to work. I truly enjoy it and it's very enlightening! After I finished them, I gave them to my 55-year-old Mom. She enjoys them as well! Sometimes she and I discussed the key points from the CD that we both find useful/interesting. We both like the Dr. Phil's materials on the CDs because it really guides people to "get real".

That is a pretty amazing book that can help you to get rid of some personal chaos thingis that keeps you away from being productive or creative. Perhaps not the right thing you were looking for, but that book is worth its money.
