My nephew's favorite toy is the Ball Popper! It's just an inexpensive toy that will keep them occupied for hours. Most of them have fun noises too as the balls are popping out of the top fo the machine. I love to see him laugh at the machine and he presses the button over and over and over again to see them pop out!

My daughter really enjoyed the fisher price peekablocks.. as the kids get older you can buy toys to go with them such as the wagon or the elephant.

My 2 month old twins love the Fisher-Price Aquarium Take Along Swing http://www.toysrus.com When infants are that young there isn't much they can do (as far as playing with toys goes), but the swing keeps them in motion which they love. They also love the flashy fishes which they love to swing and bat at.
For the older baby of 9 months a toy such as Tupperware Shape O Toy which is not only a fun toy, but also helps with learning. It's a classic toy as it's been around for decades!

The baby from 0-3mos will love the winkel. You can also try Haba great manipulative hand toys. These toys are completely safe. Although, the winkel is made in China, Manhatten Toy has thoroughly assured this product's safety. Haba is made in Germany.
