Q:
Does anyone know about the Magellan Roadmate 1200. I got one for Christmas and wondered if I should keep it.

The Roadmate 1200 is from one of Magellan's more budget conscious lines. Their Maestro series is the "latest and greatest." That said, the 1200 has really similar features to the lower end Maestro series. If you just need navigation that will get you from one address to another, go ahead and keep it. This one will work as good as the $600 models from Magellan. That said, if you want/need a large point of interest database, then you might want to upgrade to a Maestro 3220, 3250, or above which would upgrade you from 1.3 M points of interests to 4.5 M. I'm simplifying a bit since there are a couple of other features to differentiate them but the POI is one of the biggest changes. Personally, I don't care about the POI database so I own a lower end Maestro.
