Q:
What is a good printer/scanner that doesn't cost much?

Details: As sebemis has mentioned, replacement inks are what make printers costly. Now I'm looking for suggestions on which specific scanner models have less expensive replacement inks. I'm not much into printing colored pages so I won't be looking much into the color quality of ink replacements. Thanks in advance!

Most printer/scanners aren't terribly expensive, the cost is in the replacement inks. Most companies expect to make most of their return on selling you their own inks. That being said, I'm partial to Canon, Epson or Hewlett/Packard printers. They all work fairly well, and have ink and/or accessories at all major stores. Look for other things that you may find important (i.e.: print speed, separate ink cartridges for each color, ability to read camera memory sticks, etc.)
