What is Recommendr?

Recommendr is an online social shopping community. Discover new products and stores! With Recommendr, you can ask and answer shopping questions. You can also rate, review and tag products and stores.

How do I invite my shopping buddies to join?

Click on invite buddies from your buddies page. You can also import your contacts from many popular email sites using our Import Feature.

Why doesn't my buddy show up in my buddies list?

All buddies have to be approved by the recipient. Once your buddy approves the request, they will show up in your buddies list.

I've searched but can't find a product?

We're sorry you couldn't find the product that you were looking for in our database. However, you can easily add products to Recommendr by installing our Bookmarklet. Once you're installed the bookmarklet, just click on it when you find a product on the web you want to add.

How do I update by profile?

Go to “My Profile” by selecting the appropriate tab from the to menu. Once you have updated your profile, click the “Submit” button to update the information.

How do I update my account, email address, or password?

Click the “My Account” link located at the top of the page near the Recommendr logo. Once you have updated your account, click the “Update” button to update the information.

Who can see the products and stores I have rated, reviewed, or tagged?

All product and store reviews and tags are publicly viewable. Your ratings (likes, dislikes, wants, watch list, etc.) are shown in your public profile by default. However, if you want to keep your ratings private or just show them to your buddies, you can change your privacy setting by clicking on “My Account”.

Who can see the questions, answers, comments, and reviews I write?

All questions, answers, comments, and reviews that you write on the site are publicly viewable and are displayed next to your user name and profile image (avatar).

Who can see my profile?

Your profile and your profile image (avatar) are publicly all viewable.

Submit any feedback or error reports to: Feedback. This is your community so please let us know what we're doing right and what we're not. We'll try our best to make the site even better for you.
