If you live anywhere near a Mac Store or a Best Buy w/ a Mac kiosk (they're new in BB's) you can go try one. Otherwise take a look at them at Apple's web site http://store.apple.com or call the 800#. Good Luck. Posted: Oct 9th 2007, 17:15 |

so the laptop you're looking at right now is an older model. it's part of their CR lineup which is targeting people that want thin and light laptops. so you said you're using it for school so i assume weight is important? how about screen size are you willing to have a smaller screen or would you prefer full screen sizes (14 or 15)? $999 is really cheap for a sony vaio. What model is it? My recommendation is to go with the Vaio SZ line but even the cheapest ones are about $1200. I'm sure you've found that Sony's aren't cheap. What is your budget set at? Posted: Oct 9th 2007, 15:04 |

normally i would say to go with an inspiron but dell is having a discount on their dell latitude right now which brings it very close to the price of a inspiron (the smart value one since it has the 15.4 screen) http://www.dell.com Posted: Oct 9th 2007, 14:56 |

Glad you got a kick out of that. I did a bunch of research before buying my laptop. What kind of information are you looking for? Posted: Oct 9th 2007, 14:40 |
